The mission of Field School is to empower every student to achieve academic excellence and to become a responsible, caring citizen.

Field News

Dear Field Families,

Thank you for your patience as we developed a plan to get student materials organized and packed up. Teachers are in the building this week to gather student materials. They will place the items that were in your child’s desk and locker in a bag. You will have the opportunity to pick up your child’s belongings. We will also be collecting Field School library books and Safety Patrol Belts at this time as well. Please see the procedure below for details.

Field Families,

It is hard to believe we only have two weeks left this school year. This past week our staff felt beyond appreciated by our Field PTA! We are blessed to have such an amazing community supporting and working with us. Thank you, to all our Field parents as well as the Teacher Appreciation Committee, for their hard work. I’d like to give a special shout out to Mandy Puchalski, Sarah Jensen, Rachel Ponton and Heather Stotts for their planning and coordination.

D205 Home Learning/E-Learning Days & School Closure Information - Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has announced that school closures will extend through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. D205  will continue to provide instruction through remote learning

All D205 buildings and playgrounds also are closed. The York Football Stadium also is closed and while other fields and lawns are still accessible to the public, we ask that patrons practice social distancing and not congregate in groups.

D205 is working cooperatively with the City of Elmhurst and the Elmhurst Police Department. Law enforcement will disperse groups/individuals who do not follow the governor’s order. Community members are encouraged to call 9-1-1 to report violations of the “Stay at Home” order.

Official Last Day of School
The final day of school for the 2019-2020 school year will be May 22, 2020 for all students except seniors. The last day for seniors is May 13, 2020.

Dear Field Families,

It is hard for me to believe that it is May. I hope that this message finds you in good health and that you were able to spend some time outdoors soaking in the sunshine.  It was so beautiful outside this weekend.  This has definitely been an unprecedented year and has impacted our day to day routines in so many ways.

Dear Field Families,

First and most importantly, please know that we miss our Field families more than I can put into words. We sent a video message through our social media platforms on Friday afternoon. If you have not had the chance to view it yet, please click this link to view. I would also encourage you to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram at @FieldD205 if you do not already.  Staying in touch as a community will help us remain positive and allow us to find comfort in our connection. I encourage you to comment, reply, and tag us in your pictures and posts related to remote learning.
