Lauren Joyce

My name is Lauren Joyce and this will be my fourth year at Field School, and my seventh year teaching. I began my teaching career in Bloomington, Illinois after student teaching near Illinois State University. While in Bloomington, I taught 3rd grade for one year and 2nd grade for two years.

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family & friends, getting hooked on a good show, and traveling. Some cool places I have visited include Hawaii, Cayman Islands, Italy, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, & Barcelona! 

One of my favorite quotes about education is, "No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship," said by Dr. James Comer. This is something I wholeheartedly believe in. I believe a child is most successful when there is a strong partnership between student, parent, and teacher.
