KIDS HEART CHALLENGE
Dear parents, It is that time of year again. This year we are hosting Kids Heart Challenge (formerly known as jump rope for heart) on Friday March 13th. I am looking for 24 volunteers in the morning and 24 in the afternoon to ensure the event runs smoothly (2 volunteers per station). It will run similar to how it did last year, each grade will come down for one hour and cycle through 12 different stations split between the gym, the auditorium, and the hallway. I will again have folders at every station for the volunteers detailing how to run the station and what to say to the students. Classes will come down in the following order:
8:30-9:30: 4th grade
9:30-10:30: 5th grade
10:30-11:30: 3rd grade
12:30-1:30: 1st grade
1:35-2:35: 2nd grade
If you are interested in helping out, you can sign up here:
Thank you for your help in making this event possible. I could not do it without you. Thank you again. Mr. Kolb
2020 ELMHURST COMMUNITY STUDENT CHESS TOURNAMENT (Open to grades 2 though 12)
The Elmhurst Community Student Chess Tournament begins at 6 p.m. on March 17, 2020 at York High School. Science Olympiad Fun Night will be Thursday, March 19th from 6:30-8:00pm. Information was sent home last week. Online registration will be open until the end of the day Monday, March 2nd. Please register each child HERE. You will be contacted with your team assignment on Wednesday, March 11th.
ATTENTION - We are currently in need of 3rd and 5th grade adult leaders! We have 24 3rd graders signed up with only 2 adult volunteers. There are no volunteers for the 17 5th graders signed up. Please consider leading a team. Parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc can all have fun at this event! This event can not happen with enough help.
Please email Lynnea or Mindi to let us know if you can now volunteer.

TEACHER APPRECIATION DONATIONS
The teacher appreciation committee is looking for any holiday gifts some of us might have received that either we don’t need, don’t fit, can’t use, etc to donate for the teacher appreciation raffle in May. This is a great way to “regift” your new items for a good cause. Please bring any items to donate to the officer labeled “Puchalski PTA.” This could be anything from pjs, gift cards, candles to a coffee maker. We will take anything new. Thanks sincerely as always for your generosity.
COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS NEEDED
Want to get even more involved at Field? We still need a chairperson for the following committee.
- Junior Great Books - Organizes and communicates with the JGB leaders for each grade.
Please email Katharine Wagner, email@example.com , if you're interested or have questions about what this role entails. Thank you!
Have a great week, everyone! Go Field Falcons!
